On one hand, we get tje best two WR in the draft, on the other it makes you think of the other guy's lack of touches.
What about Waller, Renfrow, healthy Tyrell Williams?
I was hoping to throw the ball a little more to Josh Jacobs also, and let's not forget about Foster Moreau.
Lets flip it and go top two defenders for a sec.
What about going top two linebackers in Simmons and Kenneth Murray.
Instant defense!
I'd rather go offense and try and win a shoot out with KC...who will probably win the superbowl.
I agree. Look at KC, look at BAL. Look at NO and GB. TEN wasn't shit until Tannehill came in and started playing like Brady.
It's all about an explosive offense. Look at NE. They had one of the best D's in the league this season, but their offense fell way down. And they got bounced in the 1st round.
Then look at KC. Explosive offense, average D. Probably going to the SB.
We need to get this team into the modern era. It's all about putting up 30-40 points. In fact, in week 17, HALF the teams that won scored more than 30 points.
And we're so close on O that we only need to add a couple serious playmakers to do it. Now, we can go FA and add Robby Anderson and then add CeeDee Lamb. I like Robby Anderson, I think he hasn't reached his full potential yet. BUT, PFF ranked him #61 this season. Much like Tyrell Williams, he's not a legit #1.
In case you're wondering, Hunter Renfrow was ranked #22 and Tyrell Williams was ranked #70.
I wouldn't worry too much about who's going to get enough balls based on how much Carr struggled to get ANYONE the ball this past season. I say we double up on our strength and then patch up our weakness. It's not like we'd be IGNORING our D if we spend both 1st round picks on WRs. There's a TON of money and picks left over to blow on D.
And this could be a really good draft to spend both 1st round picks on WRs. OR possibly our #12 and then our 2nd rounder on Justin Jefferson or Davonta Smith.
JMO.
BETTER be a playoff win in 2022.
