Why, if the coaching situation is a mess, take a pay cut to stay and be part of a complete pant-load? Unless, Olson is significantly better than most fear, it makes little sense. As a fan, I would like them to remain in Oakland, but looking at the situation from their perspective, it just doesn't make sense.

There's only one reason. Money. His agent has to be concerned that his stock is WAY down after last season, being overshadowed by Moore and even a UDFA like Streater. DHB wasn't even starting a lot of the time. His prospects out there have got to be minimal.

On the other hand, he knows Palmer can rack up yards even if the team is losing. So what he needs to do is stay here, get all the money he can, suck up to Olson and work his ass off to get targets in 2013. It's entirely possible he could be a 1000-yd WR in OAK in 2013 if he plays it right. THEN go hit the open market.
