Crab went to Texas Tech, and if I recall correctly, the debate was between him and a few others that year as to who was the best WR in the draft. Al drafted DHB, then there was Maclin and Harvin. All of them first rounders along w Britt and Nicks.
Turned out to be none of the above. The best in that draft was Mike Wallace, taken in rd 3. Maclin a close second. Crabtree a very close 3rd. Pats took Edelman in rd 7, but that dude just hasn't been as prolific at those other 3.
BETTER be a playoff win in 2022.
