Mike Mayock interviewed for Raiders GM opening.

According to the Twitter press, Mike Mayock is at the KC game and had an interview for our vacant GM opening. I love this dude, he is light years away from every other scout out there, dude knows the no name guys towards the end of the 7th round when most teams scouts are eating a hot dog.
He probably doesn't know too much about cap space, but boy would he and Gruden do wonders for our draft.

He's a smart football guy but can he coexist with Gruden is the question. Why would Mayock want to work in this shit show anyway. Seriously.

Word is the bay area teams will coach the senior bowl this year. If Mayock is on board, they'll kill it. I would love to hear they're conversation's!

Fuck yeah!! He’s perfect. A guy not afraid to clash with Gruden & he knows his shit. Huge step up from a mute gorilla no doubt. We are so much better off now than we were in 16. Fuck this year, I watched 1 game all year never cared. But now we have real hope a man that knows what he’s doing. I’m sure injured guys aren’t to high on his list to draft

Mayock adds some professionalism to the front office and he can actually articulate with the media. He knows football and college talent. Key will be how he coexists with Gruden in building this program the right way. I'm surprised Mayock wants to work here. Always liked his astute football analysis.

Great hire!! Mayock has forgot more about drafting then Reggie ever new of. We all should know who will have final say so>>Gruden....but I believe they can an will work together.

I've always admired the way Mayock carried himself, no no sense, knew what the hell he was talking about and was often right when it came to teams' needs and who they ended up taking. If Reggie was still here he'd be on vacation somewhere at a KFC lol.
I think he and Gruden will work together well, I'm sure Mike liked the fact that he'll have a shit ton of picks with a shiny new office in Vegas waiting for him.

Mayock has NO experience running a team, drafting or handling/negotiating contracts? How is this a great hire?
