Let's assume Lynch is gone.

Assuming Jon will be moving on from Lynch, there are a couple of "long-term" - type guys in FA in Dion Lewis and Isaiah Crowell.

I really like Crowell's YPC and his toughness. He has played in all 16 games in every season since he was drafted. He's young and has a TON of gas in the tank. He's bigger and better than either Richard or Washington. He has feature back potential for sure. The Browns never used him like they should have, so he doesn't have the stats to break the bank (I have to say, Hue is disappointing me in CLE). His highlights show he's not going to outrun CBs but he's pretty smart setting guys up to make a move to get by them.

Can't say the same about Lewis. At his size, he's a specialist and we already have very similar specialists on the roster.

Carlos Hyde deserves a hard look as well. Dude's huge. Last year he had 8 rushing TDs but dipped below 4 ypc for the first time in his career. Also, he played in all 16 games last year for the first time in his career.

Bottom line: None of these guys is really a silver bullet, unless one of them can step their game up from what they've shown so far. Crowell would need to be able to take on another 50 carries or so. But if we wanted a serious upgrade we'd need a draft pick or a trade.

I don't see Cleveland letting Crowell go, but I'd love to have him. Carlos Hyde can come on over too. He ran hard for my Buckeyes, and he did well for the 9ers.

Fuck that! Lynch is still a beast, he just wasn't used enough. Probably one of the reasons why Crackerjack was fired!

We solve it all if we get Guice in the draft and sign Carlos Hyde. We need to cut one of the midgets. Hyde is a stop gap to replace Lunch and we can let Guice develop. Gruden doesn’t love rookies and Hyde will fill that veteran role. Spilt his carries with Guice and let Guice learn NFL pass pro. That would be my perfect scenario. Lynch plays when he wants to play. He’s about his financial future. He’s not about the team. He ran hard down the stretch for his incentives in the contract, and to get 10k to cement his HOF chances. He’s got no love for da RAIDERS.

Guice is a long-shot for us. He won't make it out of the first round, but he's a pick 25-30 value. We'd have to cough up something serious to trade up back into rd 1 and pick him.

Lynch ran hard but would take himself out of games many times. He had a film crew at practices where'd he ham it up for the camera as well as his negative influence in the locker room. Get his ass out of town. He was a part of the cultural problem on this team.

Lynch is a check casher and this draft is deep. We can pick up a RB in round 2-4 even if Guice is gone. I can’t stand Lynch because he’s an asshole. He’s had a good career, but he brings nothing that we can’t get from a production stand point in the draft. That dude just needs to take his circus with him to retirement.

Doesn’t matter who the coach is you can’t take the niggger out of a niggger. Keeping Lynch is a bad idea, his production is useless compared to the distraction he is. He will burn us one way or another.

I honestly don’t think he’ll be on the team. We have until the 3/18 to make a decision on him. Regardless of the chatter about Gruden saying he wants full time Lynch, it’s all politics to put the heat on Lynch to walk. If he retires, Gruden doesn’t take the blame for dumping an OAK native. We all know Lynch wants special treatment and wants his ass kissed to play. He’s the reason Richard and Washington regressed last year. He took them under his wing and taught them how to be Hood instead of good. He has always and will always be a street thug. At least he has money and is not roaming the streets broke.

RB's aren't that hard to find. Fuck Lynch.
