Normally would be against signing the old guy, but we have Teo other good backs to spell him and mix it up on offense when the game plan calls for it or when we're playing from behind.
But....AP is just a different animal, he barely played last year and could have came back had the Vikings made the playoffs.
I'd say sign him if price was right, and go defense next 3 rounds. Cut him next year and draft RB next year.
We're swinging for the fences next year, might as well bring AP aboard for the super bowl lol.

I changed my mind. I don't want AP. He's old, declining just like every other RB at his age, he fumbles like crazy, isn't a great blocker and can't catch passes. Fuck him

LOL.... I hear ya. But.... if we could get him for a year at a "very" reasonable price, I'd take him. I'm on the fence with drafting this guy DR wants. I'm sure he's a great player, but this defense needs serious attention.

Good point. If we get him cheap. He will be motivated to get a SB so we got that going for us. Like u said if the price is right. It would be a good pick up. I'd rather get Blount but who knows how much he costs

Petersen is fragile and his best days are behind him...don't trust he'd be durable. Murray if not overpaid by someone will be resigned by us as he's a proven commodity and he was a low round draft pick...his cap hit and low draft status I think he's exceeded production expectation although he isn't utilizing his size which is why he went in the 6th round.

He was a 181st overall pick, 6th round pick, he's averaged 4.0 yds a carry and 900 yds a season rushing for the last two seasons and has caught on average 35 balls a season the last two seasons in basically a platoon back system. His avg salary the last two years is $630,000 which is nothing and he's our feature back drafted very low and a low cap hit. He has his limitations as we've all seen but was expected considering his low draft status. If we can get a back with more balance and able to shake off tackles and give us the same production at around the same cost or a little more I'm all for it. Reggie has his hands full with paying Carr and Mack here pretty soon and cultivating a quality roster around the cost for just those two players.
