.I like McCaffrey also, but I kind of see this as a luxury pick at this point in time. It appears the coaching staff had made thier minds up on Latavius for whatever reason (maybe to fragile or too many concussions or maybe they feel we need a power back to mix in with the smaller quicker backs we have. The only problem is Murray is a decent blocking back who knows the protection schemes and terminology of the offense better than most, tough call IMO if you Jack.
I don't really know who Zach Brown is but we do need better talent at the LB spots for sure.
My dream scenario for right now is as follows.
Resign Carr asap.
Do the homework on what it would take to keep Khalil for the long term.
I'm thinking we won't go crazy on free agents now that we have to sign those two guys to long term deals but we'll get to see what Reggies made of in the next few months with free agency and the draft upon us.
1.Chiefs are looking at a potential Eric berry holdout if he gets tagged again, this is one dude I'd splurge for if it meant not signing a whole bunch of other mediocre talent.
2.IMO we need a pass rushing DT in the worst way, but we'll pick this up in the draft , I'll explain in another post.
3. I think we'll be able to get help at DE surprisingly cheap of whoever is left out of Calais Campbell, JPP now that Aldon is all but done. I think alot of free agents look at this team as a young hungry exciting team that is primed to win right now.
4.AJ Bouye would be nice, but probably too expensive.
5. I like the possibility of DeSean Jackson at the slot, Andre smith who's only 30 at RT where he plays now.
Draft picks I like.
1.Caleb Brantley DT or McDowell DT from Michigan
2.Taco Charlton DE or Sidney Jones CBS from Washington lock down corner in the mold of Marcus Peter's.
In the second one round I like any l8nebacker that fell, or if Murray walks, some of the RB's who fall out of the 1st round...preferably a work horse back to move the sticks and wear down defenses.
