ESPN Re-Drafts 2014 Draft

Tis the season for re-rankings. And apparently tis also the season for praising Khalil Mack. After landing third in the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year voting, the NFL world seems to be doing a collective "my bad" tour. The latest is ESPN's Mike Sando who did a 2014 NFL Draft re-ranking. And heading to the Texans with the number one overall pick is Khalil Mack. Here is what he had to say:

1. Khalil Mack, OLB, Oakland Raiders: Mack validated his top-five status with a promising rookie season. The Raiders expect him to spend less time in coverage and more time rushing the passer this season.

Actual number one overall pick, Jadeveon Clowney, slips to 10th after missing his entire rookie season on injured reserve.

Coming in second was Aaron Donald, who was named DROY last season. The other guy who was voted ahead of Mack for the rookie honor was Ravens' linebacker C.J. Mosley. He lands in fifth in the re-rankings, which was where the Raiders selected Mack.

Sammy Watkins, who was taken just ahead of Mack in the draft lands at 4th, which was where he was actually chosen.

Mack wasn't the only Raiders rookie to move up from his original draft selection. Derek Carr jumped to 11th in the re-rankings, just ahead of Teddy Bridgewater at 12th. This made Carr the top ranked quarterback. Here is what Sando had to say about Carr:

11. Derek Carr, QB, Oakland Raiders: The stats say Carr was ineffective as a rookie, but most of the coaches and evaluators I've consulted favored him over the other 2014 rookie QBs based on his max potential.

Actual top quarterback taken in the 2014 draft, Blake Bortles, snuck in to the top 25 at position 25. And, of course, Johnny Manziel didn't make the list.

Hillary vs. Trump -- Two liberals running in the general election .. A race likely decided by which party hates their dishonest candidate less.
