Raiders to scrap zone-blocking scheme?

Before Gregg Knapp took over as the Oakland Raiders offensive coordinator, Darren McFadden was a pretty productive (albeit unhealthy) running back. After Knapp started running the offense, McFadden stepped back to a career-low 3.3 yards per carry average in 2012. Now that Oakland is in the market for a new O.C., does that mean renewed prospects for Run DMC? Head coach Dennis Allen was coy about that, but did reaffirm his confidence in McFadden. That’s wonderful and all, but we’ve heard this before. In past seasons, injuries have limited the running back. This year, it was poor performance (though he still missed four games with injury issues). In five season, McFadden has only surpassed 1,000 yards once. If you are buying in to Run DMC as anything more than a mid- to late-round option, I salute your bravery … or question your judgment.

Packers WRs hurting: With a playoff showdown coming against the San Francisco 49ers, the Green Bay Packers are trying to get their receiving corps situated. Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb both missed practice Wednesday. The good news is that Nelson is expected to return to the practice field Thursday. That adds an extra layer of intrigue for anyone playing the Playoff Challenge. Especially against a secondary that kept Green Bay’s high-octane offense in check in the regular season opener.

Locker having surgery: Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker had shoulder surgery Thursday. It’s the same shoulder that was separated during the season, forcing the signal-caller to miss five games this season. The Titans expect that Locker should be ready by May, meaning he won’t miss any time in training camp. That’s good news, considering the team would like to simplify the offense in order to fit the quarterback. The more reps he can get, the better it could be for his fantasy value.

You don't adjust, you just dominate.

Of course DA was "coy" about it. That's because he doesn't have a fucking clue about offense, and he needs a new OC to tell him what needs to be done with the blocking scheme. At least he's smart enought o keep his mouth shut about it and wait until someone who's qualified can make those decisions for him.

Assuming Reggie actually hires someone who IS qualified. That's certainly not a lock.

That's one heck of an understatement!

Hillary vs. Trump -- Two liberals running in the general election .. A race likely decided by which party hates their dishonest candidate less.
